‘123456’ Tops India’s Password List Again, Exposes Weak Digital Security Habits

For the second year in a row, “123456” remains India’s most widely used password, as per NordPass data. Despite users adding symbols or slight variations, predictable and reused passwords continue to dominate. Cybersecurity experts warn that such weak credentials contribute to nearly 80% of data breaches, urging users to adopt stronger, unique, and regularly updated passwords.
