Vinod Kumar Vijayan is an acclaimed Indian film director, writer, and producer celebrated for his thought-provoking storytelling in Malayalam and Telugu cinema. His cinematic journey began at just 18, when his short film MASK won the International Video Festival Award — a glimpse of the brilliance to come.
He later made history with Ottaal, which won the Crystal Bear Award at the Berlinale International Film Festival, marking him as a filmmaker of global calibre. In 2013, Vijayan earned the National Film Award for Annayum Rasoolum, reaffirming his mastery in blending human emotion with cinematic artistry.
Over the years, he has directed acclaimed works such as Quotation (2004), Red Salute (2006), and D Company: The Judgement Day (2013). Now, he steps into Telugu cinema with his upcoming feature Oka Pathakam Prakaram, starring Sairam Shankar, with cinematography by Rajeev Ravi and music by Rahul Raj.
