Air India has reported three technical glitches on its Boeing 787 fleet since July, prompting enhanced safety inspections ordered by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) following a June 12, 2025, accident in Ahmedabad.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, stated that all affected aircraft were inspected and found to be satisfactory. He added that technical snags are a normal part of aircraft operations and are routinely addressed under prescribed maintenance procedures.
The DGCA’s enhanced inspections ensured that Air India’s Boeing 787 fleet complies with all safety standards, reinforcing passenger confidence in the aircraft’s operational safety.
