Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh Slams PILs Against Vizag IT Parks

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Friday criticised a series of Public Interest Litigations (PILs) filed against major IT park projects in Visakhapatnam, warning that they threaten over one lakh job opportunities and could discourage investor confidence in the state.

Lokesh said the PILs target IT projects by TCS, Cognizant, Sattva Group and Raheja Corp, and alleged that such litigations amount to sabotaging the future of Andhra Pradesh’s youth. He warned that repeated legal hurdles send a negative signal to global investors.

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), however, denied any involvement in the PILs, with its legal cell stating the party had no role in filing them.

Lokesh asserted that the coalition government remains committed to transparent and investor-friendly policies and will defend projects that promote employment and economic growth.
