AP, Telangana News Live: Rain Alert: Big Warning for Telugu States… Heavy Downpour for Two Days!

The annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala Tirupati have begun in a grand and festive manner, with the Tirumala shrine adorned in divine splendour. As every year, the sacred annual celebrations commenced on Tuesday with the Ankurarpana ritual.

The most significant event of the Brahmotsavams, Dhwajarohanam (flag hoisting), was performed on Wednesday in a traditional and scriptural manner. With this, the Vahana Sevas also began. The Dhwajarohanam took place between 5.43 pm and 6.15 pm during Meena Lagnam.

On behalf of the state government, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his wife offered silk garments (Pattu Vastrams) to the Lord. Chandrababu Naidu created a record by presenting silk garments to Lord Venkateswara for the 14th time as Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister recalled that 22 years ago, on the very first day of the Brahmotsavams, the Lord had spared his life, calling it an unexpected incident. He said he believes God saved him for a purpose. With the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, he received the opportunity to offer silk garments during the Brahmotsavams 14 times. He also noted that the Pranadanam (blood donation) programme was initiated on the same day the Lord granted him a new lease of life.

Meanwhile, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan also visited Tirumala and had darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Tuesday.
