BC Groups Criticise Congress Over Party-Based Reservation Plan for Panchayat Polls

Backward Classes organisations strongly criticised the Congress government for introducing party-based 42% reservations in the upcoming Gram Panchayat elections. They called the decision a betrayal of BC communities and legally questionable, pointing out that Panchayat polls have always been non-partisan. With related court cases still pending, BC groups warned of statewide protests and accused the government of misleading the community for political gain.
