Bilateral Trade Between India and Russia to Hit $100 Billion by 2030, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence that the $100 billion bilateral trade target between India and Russia will be achieved well ahead of 2030. Speaking at the India-Russia Business Forum alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin, Modi highlighted the rapid progress both nations are making towards this milestone.

Inviting Russian businesses to “Come and Make in India… and partner with India,” Modi emphasized the tremendous potential in the India-Russia partnership. Recalling that the $100 billion trade goal was set last year, he said, “After further discussions with President Putin, I am confident we will achieve this target ahead of schedule. We are making rapid progress towards this goal.”

The Prime Minister also noted that simplified and predictable mechanisms are being created to support businesses, and talks have begun on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the Eurasian Economic Union, further paving the way for stronger economic cooperation.
