India’s love for biryani remained unmatched in 2025, with a staggering 93 million biryani orders placed on Swiggy across the country. According to Swiggy’s data, Indians ordered 194 biryanis per minute, which equals 3.25 biryanis every second.
Among all varieties, chicken biryani emerged as the most popular, topping the list with 57.7 million orders and recording the highest number of repeat customers. Alongside biryani, burgers, pizzas, dosa, desserts, and regional cuisines also witnessed strong demand throughout the year, reflecting India’s diverse food preferences.
