CM Revanth Reddy Meets Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Seeks Major Defence Projects for Telangana

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in the national capital and discussed several key projects aimed at strengthening the state's infrastructure and boosting its role in India's defence and aviation sectors. During the meeting, the Chief Minister thanked the Defence Ministry for transferring defence land required for the Gandhi Sarovar Project, describing it as an important step for Telangana's development. CM Revanth Reddy also assured the state's full cooperation for the proposed Indian Air Force Airport in Adilabad, stating that the project is significant not only for Telangana but also for national security and strategic interests. The Chief Minister requested the establishment of additional facilities at the proposed airport, including: Air Force Terminal Cargo Handling Facilities Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Centre Aircraft Hangars He highlighted that Adilabad Airport is ideally suited for setting up aircraft hangars and can emerge as a major aviation and logistics hub in the region. The Chief Minister also urged the Defence Minister to expedite approval for the proposed DRDO project near Devarakadra, stating that the project would promote technological advancement, attract investments, and generate employment opportunities in Telangana.
