Cognizant Hosts Aston Martin F1 Drivers at Hyderabad GAR Campus

Cognizant recently hosted Lance Stroll, a current driver for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team, along with Pedro de la Rosa, the team’s driver ambassador, at its GAR campus in Hyderabad. This visit was part of Cognizant’s “Celebrating Cognizant” series, a six‑month campaign blending sporting and cultural events designed to connect associates and celebrate the company’s accomplishments and values. During the visit, the drivers met with leadership and several hundred employees, discussing how Cognizant’s digital capabilities are contributing to innovation within the F1 team—especially in light of the upcoming 2026 regulations in the sport.

In addition to the meet‑and‑greet sessions, Cognizant also organized a hackathon under its Outreach program, involving teams from Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (Basar), Vizag Volunteers Association, and Kalam Dream Labs. The participants competed to build creative solutions—both low‑code and code‑based—to enhance Aston Martin’s fan engagement, particularly by shaping the “Ai.lonso” avatar into a more emotionally engaging digital companion. The top teams won cash prizes and were invited to join the fireside chat with Stroll and de la Rosa as well as have a photo session. Cognizant emphasized that this partnership, ongoing since 2021, has significantly strengthened the F1 team’s IT infrastructure and operational efficiency.
