D Anasuya Seethakka Urges Public to Avoid Peak Heat Hours Amid Rising Temperatures in Telangana

Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister D Anasuya Seethakka has urged citizens to take precautions as temperatures continue to soar across Telangana. In a public appeal, the Minister advised people to avoid stepping outdoors between 11 am and 3 pm, when heat intensity is at its peak. She suggested completing daily activities early in the morning between 6 am and 10 am and staying indoors during the hottest part of the day. Highlighting health risks, she warned that exposure to extreme heat could lead to sunstroke and other serious complications. She recommended that those who must step out should cover their heads with caps, towels, or cloth to minimize heat exposure. To address the situation, Seethakka directed officials to set up drinking water kiosks in major Gram Panchayats and mandal headquarters, ensuring access to safe drinking water for the public. The Minister emphasized the importance of preventive measures as the State witnesses a sharp rise in summer temperatures over the past few days.
