A Delhi court has ordered the framing of charges against Congress MP Karti P Chidambaram and six others in the alleged Chinese visa scam case. The court discharged one accused, Chetan Shrivastava, while the remaining seven face charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, and forgery under the IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The case involves allegations of bribery in facilitating visas for Chinese nationals linked to Talawandi Sabo Power Ltd (TSPL) and Bell Tools during P Chidambaram’s tenure as Union Home Minister in 2011. The next hearing is scheduled in the coming weeks.
