Dog Dispute Between IAS & IFS Officers Triggers Police Case in Banjara Hills

Hyderabad: A dispute between two senior government officials, reportedly over a pet dog, escalated into a public disturbance and led to a police case in Banjara Hills. The incident took place on April 13 at the IAS & IPS officers’ quarters on Road No. 10. According to a complaint filed by an IRS officer, her neighbour, an IFS officer, allegedly created a commotion outside her residence. As per the complaint, the issue began after the pet dog reportedly defecated in a common area. The neighbour objected to this and allegedly confronted household staff in an aggressive manner, leading to a heated argument. The situation reportedly escalated, with allegations of shouting, repeated door banging, and damage to flower pots in the shared premises. The complainant also accused the officer of using abusive language and making derogatory remarks. Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under relevant sections related to public nuisance, abusive behaviour, and property damage. Officials have visited the scene, recorded statements from both parties, and initiated an investigation. Police stated that further action will be taken based on the findings.
