A mischievous raccoon turned a quiet Ashland, Virginia night into chaos after breaking into a closed liquor store and indulging in bottles of scotch and whisky. The unexpected intruder trashed the bottom shelves, shattered multiple bottles, and even brought down a ceiling tile as alcohol pooled across the floor.
Animal control officer Samantha Martin responded to the scene and discovered the “masked bandit” passed out on the bathroom floor, heavily intoxicated from its liquor spree. After sobering up, the raccoon was safely released back into the wild.
What appeared to be the work of a bold burglar turned out to be nothing more than a rogue raccoon enjoying an accidental night out.
