During the hearing, Justice Tushar Rao Gedela acknowledged the risks posed by AI-generated content and deepfake technologies, which can replicate celebrities without consent. The court indicated that it may issue an interim injunction to prevent misuse for commercial gain or misleading content. This case highlights the growing challenge of digital identity theft in the era of artificial intelligence. Legal experts believe the ruling could set a significant precedent in India, shaping future regulations around AI usage, online content, and personality rights protection.
