Germany Overpowers India 3-1 in Junior Women’s Hockey World Cup

India’s junior women’s hockey team suffered a 3-1 defeat against Germany in their second FIH Junior Women’s World Cup match, held at the Centro Deportivo de Hockey Césped, Estadio Nacional in Santiago.

Germany took an early lead through Lena Frerichs (5’) and extended it with Annika Schönhoff (52’) and Martina Reisenegger (59’). India’s Hina Bano (58’) pulled one back in the final minutes, but it wasn’t enough to challenge Germany’s dominance.

The Indian side will now regroup as they prepare for their next match against Ireland, aiming to bounce back in the tournament.
