The Secunderabad Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) jointly arrested a repeat drug offender, Shaik Waheed (21), at Secunderabad Railway Station and seized 4.1 kg of marijuana worth over Rs 2 lakh.
Waheed, a bike mechanic from Lalapet, had previous cases registered against him at Lalaguda and Tukaramgate Police Stations. Following his recent release from prison, he resumed illegal activities, sourcing marijuana from Maharashtra at cheaper rates and selling it in Hyderabad.
The arrest was made during intensified GRP and RPF checks at the station. Authorities are now investigating to trace his suppliers and the broader interstate drug network involved.
