Narendra Modi held wide-ranging talks with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, during which India and Brazil agreed to push bilateral trade beyond USD 20 billion over the next five years. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in critical minerals, security, and enhancing the collective voice of the Global South.
Prime Minister Modi noted that India–Brazil relations have consistently benefited from President Lula’s visionary leadership and expressed confidence that the partnership would continue to grow across key sectors, including trade, technology, and strategic collaboration.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of deeper economic engagement and closer coordination on global platforms to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
