Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, President of the YSR Congress Party, alleged corruption and irregularities in the supply of ghee used for Tirupati laddu preparation during the tenure of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the Telugu Desam Party government.
Addressing a press conference, Jagan claimed there was an alleged nexus involving Heritage Foods and Indapur Dairy and Foods Pvt. Ltd., accusing the previous administration of granting undue benefits through contract approvals, reversal of disqualifications, and inflated pricing in ghee supply linked to the Tirupati laddu issue.
He further alleged that responsibility was being shifted onto political opponents despite evidence being available in the public domain. Commenting on the Andhra Pradesh Budget 2026–27, the former Chief Minister described it as misleading and lacking transparency, claiming that allocations for welfare schemes and key sectors such as health, education, and agriculture were inadequate.
Jagan also accused the state government of failing to improve living standards despite projected growth figures and alleged a decline in beneficiary numbers across welfare programs.
