Jet Fuel Price Hike Hits International Airlines, Domestic Carriers Get Relief

In a move reflecting ongoing global energy volatility, aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices for international airlines have been increased by around 5%, reaching approximately $1,511.86 per kilolitre. The hike comes amid rising crude oil prices influenced by geopolitical tensions and fluctuations in the global energy market. However, domestic airlines have been spared from this increase, as authorities opted for a calibrated pricing approach to protect the local aviation sector. This decision aims to support domestic carriers already dealing with cost pressures and to ensure stability in airfares for passengers within the country.
