Kaushiki Chakraborty to Perform at Triveni Season 3 in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Triveni Season 3, the annual classical music festival organised by Surmandal, Hyderabad’s 57-year-old cultural organisation, will be held on January 4 at 7 pm at Ravindra Bharati. The event will feature a special performance by renowned Indian classical vocalist Kaushiki Chakraborty, one of the leading exponents of the Patiala Gharana.

Over the decades, Surmandal has played a significant role in establishing Hyderabad as a major hub for Indian classical music. Triveni Season 3 continues this legacy by bringing together music, art, and social responsibility on one platform.

Kaushiki Chakraborty, among the most celebrated voices in Indian classical music today, founded Sakhi in 2015—India’s first all-women Indian classical ensemble—and later launched Anubhuti, a fusion initiative that blends classical traditions with contemporary expressions.

She will be accompanied by Yashwanth Vaishnav on tabla, Murad Ali on sarangi, and Tanmay Deochake on harmonium.

Adding a unique artistic dimension to the evening, noted Hyderabad-based painter Sachin Jaltare will create a live artwork inspired by the music performed on stage. The artwork will be used to support Sparsh Hospice, a centre providing free end-of-life care for terminally ill cancer patients, supported by the Rotary Club of Banjara Hills.

Triveni Season 3 promises an enriching evening that blends classical music, live art, and a meaningful charitable cause.
