Kite-Filled Skies and Festive Villages Mark Makar Sankranti in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana celebrated the harvest festival of Makar Sankranti with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour. Villages across both states wore a festive look as families reunited, houses were decorated, and colourful kites filled the skies. Rural sports such as cockfights, bull fights, and other traditional games added to the festive spirit, while lakhs of people travelled from cities like Hyderabad to their native places to celebrate the occasion.
