Man Burnt Alive After Two Vehicles Collide in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam District

A man was charred to death after a Bolero vehicle carrying cashew nuts collided with another vehicle on the Nandyal–Amaravati highway in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district on Wednesday, police said.

According to officials, the Bolero caught fire immediately after colliding with an unidentified vehicle. The driver was trapped inside the burning vehicle and died on the spot after being charred to death. Another person travelling in the same vehicle sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and cleared traffic on the busy highway. A case has been registered, and efforts are on to identify the other vehicle involved in the accident. Further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, in separate road accidents reported from Telangana and Hyderabad, several bus passengers were injured, and a home guard sustained injuries, police added. The injured were shifted to hospitals, and their condition is said to be stable.

Authorities have urged motorists to follow traffic rules and drive cautiously to prevent such tragic incidents.
