A shocking story has emerged from Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, involving a 19-year-old woman, Vani Muthireddy, who has reportedly married eight men so far. Known for her unusual pattern, Vani allegedly lured men into marriage with her accomplice, Sandhya, collecting dowry and gifts before disappearing within days.
The latest incident occurred at Durgadevi Temple in Sompeta, where she married a man from Karnataka. During the return journey to his hometown, she told him she needed to visit the restroom at Vijayanagaram Railway Station and escaped from the train. Later, it was discovered that she had returned to her maternal home in Ichchapuram.
Victims, frustrated by repeated deceit, approached the Ichchapuram Police Station on Thursday, submitting photographs and videos as evidence of her previous eight marriages. Authorities are now investigating the case, highlighting the unusual and alarming trend of repeated fraudulent marriages by a minor.
