Narasapur–Chennai Vande Bharat Train to Launch on Dec 15: Travel Time, Stops, Timings & Ticket Price

Indian Railways is set to introduce a Vande Bharat Express between Narasapur and Chennai, aimed at enhancing connectivity and reducing travel time on the route. The train will start commercial operations from Narasapur to Chennai on December 15, while services from Chennai to Narasapur will commence from December 17.
According to the Southern Railway (SR) zone, Train No. 20677 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express (operating six days a week, except Tuesdays) will be extended to Narasapur from December 17, 2025. Meanwhile, Train No. 20678 Vijayawada – Dr MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express (six days a week, except Tuesdays) will start running from Narasapur from December 15, 2025.
The introduction of this Vande Bharat Express is expected to significantly cut travel time and strengthen rail connectivity between Narasapur and Chennai, offering passengers a faster and more comfortable journey.
