The Urology and Renal Transplantation wing of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) will inaugurate three sub-specialty clinics—Uro-Oncology, Renal Transplantation, and Paediatric Urology—from January 1, 2026.
The clinics will be led by Dr Rahul Devar, Head of Urology, and will operate every Friday from 10 am to 1 pm on the 6th floor of the Specialty Block.
According to NIMS Director Prof Nagari Beerappa, the new clinics aim to provide advanced care for urological cancers, kidney transplants, and pediatric urological conditions, making high-quality, specialised healthcare more accessible to the public.
This initiative is expected to benefit patients seeking expert treatment in complex urology and transplant cases, while strengthening NIMS’ position as a centre of excellence in urological care.
