Nitish Reddy’s Hat-Trick Not Enough as Andhra Fall to Madhya Pradesh

Nitish Kumar Reddy’s sensational hat-trick briefly revived Andhra’s hopes, but Madhya Pradesh staged a strong recovery to secure a four-wicket victory in their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Super League match at the DY Patil Academy in Pune. Chasing a modest target of 113, MP slipped to 14/3 early before rebuilding through a decisive 73-run fifth-wicket partnership between Rishabh Chouhan and Rahul Batham.

Chouhan scored a composed 47, while Batham remained unbeaten on 35 to guide MP home with 15 balls to spare. Earlier, Andhra were bowled out for 112 after a middle-order collapse, despite KS Bharat’s top score of 39 and a 50-run stand with Reddy. Shivam Shukla starred with the ball for MP, claiming four wickets, as Andhra suffered their first defeat of the Super League stage.
