North Goa: Days after a nightclub fire in Arpora claimed 25 lives, the North Goa district administration has issued a ban on fireworks, sparklers, and pyrotechnics across all tourist establishments.
The order, issued Wednesday evening as a precautionary measure, comes after investigations suggested that electric firecrackers triggered the blaze at Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub around midnight on December 6. Authorities aim to prevent similar tragedies and ensure the safety of tourists and locals at nightclubs, hotels, and other entertainment venues.
The administration has urged all establishments to strictly adhere to fire safety protocols and warned of strict action against violations.
