Hyderabad: Osmania University produced a शानदार all-round performance to secure a place in the final of the South Zone inter-university cricket tournament, defeating REVA University by a convincing 77 runs in Mysuru on Wednesday.
Batting first, Osmania posted an impressive 200/7 in 25 overs, powered by strong contributions from Anvith Reddy (59), Sacheit Binjrajka (58) and Paras Raj (43). The trio laid a solid foundation and ensured a competitive total on the board.
In reply, REVA University struggled to keep pace with the required run rate and was bowled out for 123 in 22.4 overs. Osmania’s bowling attack was led by captain Vamshhi Kumar, who delivered a disciplined spell and picked up 3 wickets for 34 runs, supported well by the rest of the bowlers.
With this emphatic victory, Osmania University booked their place in the final, where they will face Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, in the title clash on Thursday.
This dominant performance highlights Osmania University’s strong form and growing confidence as they aim for the South Zone inter-university championship.
