Over 2,000 villagers in Nirmal cut off every monsoon, risk lives crossing Kaddam river on makeshift rafts

More than 2,000 residents from around ten remote villages in Pembi Mandal (Nirmal district, Telangana) are stranded each monsoon due to the absence of a bridge over the Kaddam River. Villagers rely on unsafe rafts and country boats to cross swollen waters, putting students, patients and farmers in grave danger.
