Pakistan Navy Assists Indian Vessel Crew Stranded in Arabian Sea

In a humanitarian gesture, the Pakistan Navy extended assistance to the crew of Indian vessel MV Gautam stranded in the Arabian Sea due to a technical fault. The rescue and support operation was carried out with the help of the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency after a distress call was coordinated through the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre Mumbai. The vessel, traveling from Oman to India, had reported a technical failure, leaving its crew — including six Indians and one Indonesian national — in distress. Responding promptly, the Pakistan Navy provided essential humanitarian aid such as food, medical assistance, and technical support. Efforts are ongoing to further assist and stabilize the vessel. This act highlights maritime cooperation and humanitarian response beyond borders during emergencies at sea.
