Railway Track Damaged After Bomb Explosion in Pakistan’s Balochistan

A portion of the railway track was damaged after a bomb exploded near Dera Murad Jamali in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, forcing the suspension of Jaffar Express services. Police said an improvised explosive device (IED) was planted on the main railway line in the Notal area of Nasirabad district and detonated before the Peshawar–Quetta Jaffar Express reached the spot.

Another explosive device was defused by the bomb disposal squad, while security forces launched a search operation to track down those responsible. Railway authorities halted train services between Quetta and other regions until repairs are completed. The incident adds to a series of recent attacks on railway infrastructure in Balochistan, raising fresh security concerns in the region.
