Road Accident Victims to Get Cashless Medical Treatment Up to ₹1.5 Lakh: Gadkari

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has highlighted a cashless treatment scheme for road accident victims, under which injured persons will receive free medical care of up to ₹1.5 lakh per accident for the first seven days of hospitalisation. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Gadkari said the programme is aimed at saving lives by ensuring immediate treatment without delays caused by financial constraints. The initiative is especially beneficial for daily wage earners and economically weaker families, and it also encourages bystanders and first responders to rush victims to hospitals without hesitation.
