Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s upcoming film Battle of Galwan, based on the 2020 India-China Galwan Valley clash, is set to hit theatres on April 17, 2026. The announcement was made by the makers on Saturday, coinciding with the actor’s 60th birthday, along with the release of the film’s teaser.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, best known for Shootout at Lokhandwala, the film features Salman Khan in the role of an Indian Army officer. The teaser showcases the actor in a restrained yet powerful avatar, reflecting the intensity and emotional weight of the real-life conflict.
Produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, Battle of Galwan also stars Chitrangada Singh in a key role. Salman shared the teaser on his official Instagram handle, generating strong buzz among fans.
Earlier, in an interview with PTI, Salman described Battle of Galwan as one of the most physically demanding films of his career. He spoke about rigorous training, high-altitude shooting in Ladakh, and challenging action sequences, including scenes in cold water. His previous release was Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, which hit screens in March.
