Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor has shone the spotlight on the often-unseen contributors of filmmaking by praising the technicians behind the blockbuster Dhurandhar, calling them the film’s true heroes and describing the project as a major moment for Indian cinema.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Shraddha emphasised that the finest films are powered by invisible craftsmanship. “In the greatest films, the work of technicians is invisible. Dhurandhar is a big moment for Indian cinema. Let’s make the technicians of this marvel visible and applaud them,” she wrote, adding that perfect casting is the foundation of compelling performances.
Highlighting the film’s authenticity and raw energy, the actress noted that such impact is never accidental. She credited the film’s creative and technical teams for crafting its powerful narrative, visual intensity and emotional resonance, particularly praising the audio department for elevating the cinematic experience. “When your pulse changes with every scene, it’s because master craftsmen are at work,” she said.
Shraddha also lauded director Aditya Dhar, calling him the backbone of the project, and credited producer Jyoti Deshpande and the core creative team for building the foundation of the film’s success.
Earlier, the actress had jokingly expressed her impatience for Dhurandhar: Part 2, calling it “truly terrible” of Dhar to make audiences wait. “If I didn’t have a shoot in the morning, I would have gone back to watch it again,” she wrote, hailing 2025 as a strong year for Hindi cinema with films like Chhaava, Saiyaara and Dhurandhar.
Shraddha also addressed the “rampant negative PR” surrounding the film, stating that despite manufactured controversies, Dhurandhar emerged victorious. “No bad force can pull a good film down. In audiences, we trust,” she added, echoing earlier remarks by actor Yami Gautam.
Starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and Sara Arjun, among others, Dhurandhar is the first installment of a two-part series. The film traces a decade-long Indian intelligence mission in which an undercover agent infiltrates Karachi’s criminal and political underworld to dismantle cross-border terror networks.
Inspired by real-life geopolitical events, including the 1999 Indian plane hijacking, the 2001 Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and covert operations linked to Operation Lyari, Dhurandhar blends realism with high-octane storytelling, further cementing its place as one of the most impactful films in recent Indian cinema.
