Shruti Haasan Switches to ‘Vacay Mode’ After Months of Work
Actress Shruti Haasan has finally taken a well-deserved break after months of continuous work, giving fans a glimpse of her vacation mood on social media.
Shruti shared a selfie on her Instagram Stories while onboard a flight, looking cheerful and relaxed. Captioning the photo, she wrote, “Vacay time after ages and ages,” signalling the start of her long-overdue holiday.
The actress was last seen in “Coolie”, where she played Preethi Rajasekar. The film featured a star-studded cast including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, and a cameo appearance by Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. Coolie follows the story of a former coolie union leader who investigates the death of a friend, uncovering a crime syndicate in the process.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, Coolie was officially announced in September 2023 under the tentative title “Thalaivar 171”, marking Rajinikanth’s 171st film as a lead actor. The title was revealed in April 2024, with filming taking place between July 2024 and March 2025 across locations such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur and Bangkok.
Up next, Shruti Haasan will be seen in “Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam”, the sequel to Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023). The epic neo-noir action thriller stars Prabhas in the lead role, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Sriya Reddy, and Shruti Haasan among others.
Set in the dystopian city-state of Khansaar, the Salaar franchise revolves around the bond between Deva, an exiled prince, and Varadha, the ruling prince, as power struggles and political conspiracies threaten the kingdom.
