South Korea’s Birth Rate Shows Recovery as Childbirths Rise for 16th Straight Month

South Korea saw an increase in births for the 16th consecutive month as of October 2025, according to government data. A total of 21,958 babies were born, marking a 2.5% rise compared to the previous year. While the upward trend continues, the pace of growth has slowed to the lowest level since the start of the year, highlighting ongoing demographic challenges despite signs of recovery.
