The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) intensified its crackdown on corruption in 2025 by registering 199 cases and arresting 273 persons, including a significant number of government officials.
According to official data, the Bureau seized over ₹57 lakh during the operations and detected disproportionate assets worth more than ₹96 crore. A majority of the cases were trap-related, with 157 trap cases resulting in the arrest of 224 persons. Of these, 176 were public servants found allegedly accepting bribes.
The ACB said the intensified drive was aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity in public administration. Officials reiterated that strict action would continue against those involved in corrupt practices, irrespective of their position.
The Bureau has urged citizens to report instances of corruption, assuring protection to whistleblowers and prompt action on complaints.
