Telangana Eyes Strong Presence at 2036 Olympics, Says Sports Minister Srihari

Telangana Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari announced at the Telangana Rising Global Summit that the State is committed to building a robust pipeline of athletes for the 2036 Olympics.

Speaking at the “Telangana Olympics Gold Quest” session, Srihari highlighted the government’s plans to achieve this through major investments, global partnerships, new sports bodies, mini stadia, para-sports facilities, and athlete-centric welfare schemes.

He said the State Government, under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, envisions sending a significant number of athletes from Telangana across various disciplines to the 2036 Olympics, aiming to script a new chapter of sporting success.
