Telangana Minister Demands Merger of Five Andhra Villages into the State

Telangana Minister Seethakka has urged the Central Government to take immediate action to merge five border villages currently under Andhra Pradesh’s jurisdiction into Telangana. The minister stated that these villages — located near the inter-state boundary — have long faced administrative confusion, with residents relying on Telangana for essential services such as education, healthcare, and electricity.

The demand follows several appeals from local villagers who claim their daily lives are closely tied to Telangana’s infrastructure and governance. Seethakka emphasized that the merger would resolve long-standing disputes and ensure equitable development for residents. The Telangana government is reportedly preparing a formal representation to the Centre, seeking a fair and swift resolution through the reorganization process.
