The Warangal Handloom Expo 2025 opened with a festive atmosphere, drawing large crowds right from the first day. Local weavers, artisans, and textile cooperatives displayed a rich array of traditional Telangana weaves — from Pochampally ikat to Warangal carpets and Gadwal silks. Visitors were seen exploring stalls filled with vibrant sarees, cotton dress materials, home furnishings and handcrafted accessories — many pieces showcasing unique regional motifs and weaving techniques passed down through generations.
Organizers reported that the response from shoppers has exceeded expectations, with a steady stream of visitors throughout the opening hours. Several artisans expressed optimism, noting that direct interaction with buyers has helped them secure orders and gain valuable feedback on design preferences. Beyond commerce, the expo has also become a cultural gathering: live weaving demonstrations, traditional music, and food stalls offering local fare added to the appeal. The buzz is strong, and many expect this expo will significantly boost the handloom sector in Warangal by increasing visibility and sustaining livelihoods.
