In a tragic road accident, two best friends, Sai and Ajay, lost their lives after their motorcycle collided with a stationary truck near Lachapeta village in Kamareddy district on Thursday.
According to reports, the duo, residents of Lachapeta village, had gone to Machareddy Chowrasta and were returning home when the accident occurred near a substation on the outskirts of the village. The bike reportedly lost control and rammed into a parked truck from behind.
Both Sai and Ajay suffered severe head injuries. Local residents rushed them to the Government Hospital in Kamareddy for first aid. Later, their parents shifted them to a private hospital in Hyderabad for advanced treatment. However, the two succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment.
Based on complaints lodged by the parents of the deceased, police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
