US President Donald Trump stated that he prevented a potential conflict between India and Pakistan by warning both nations of imposing 350% tariffs. He claimed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan’s Shehbaz Sharif later thanked him for helping de-escalate tensions. India, however, maintains that no third-party intervention took place, asserting that the ceasefire was achieved through DGMO-level discussions.
