Two Hurt as Karnataka–Hyderabad Bus Skids Off Road on NH-65 Near Sangareddy
Sangareddy: Two passengers were seriously injured, while several others narrowly escaped harm after a private travel bus skidded off the road and overturned on NH-65 near Kohir village in Sangareddy district during the early hours of Tuesday.
The incident occurred when the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle near Chintha Ghat, causing the bus to lose control and fall on its side along the roadside. The bus was travelling from Karnataka to Hyderabad with 36 passengers on board.
Panic broke out inside the bus as passengers feared a possible fire. They managed to escape through the emergency exit, with locals quickly rushing to the spot and helping them out.
The injured passengers were shifted to the government hospital in Zaheerabad for treatment. Police later removed the bus from the spot and shifted it to the local police station for further investigation.
Authorities have registered a case and are examining the circumstances that led to the accident.
