President Droupadi Murmu on December 26 presented the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to 20 exceptional children from 18 states and union territories, recognising their achievements in art, culture, sports, and innovation. The ceremony coincided with Veer Bal Diwas, commemorating the courage and sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s sons, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh.
Addressing the awardees, President Murmu praised their talent and dedication, extending her blessings to them and their families. She highlighted the historical significance of Veer Bal Diwas, which celebrates patriotism, bravery, and national unity, and urged young achievers to continue striving for excellence. Among the recipients, 14-year-old cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Shravan Singh from Ferozepur, recognised for serving soldiers during Operation Sindoor, were specially mentioned.
The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar continues to inspire children across India to contribute positively to society and achieve excellence in their respective fields.
