Amaravati, 23 December 2025: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday dismissed allegations from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party (JSP) that the state’s brand image was destroyed under the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government. Citing RBI statistics, he said Andhra Pradesh ranked first in South India for manufacturing and industrial growth between 2019-2024, highlighting a booming state economy.
Speaking on the matter, YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that after his government took office, opposition parties repeatedly claimed that industrial investment had dried up and that the YSRCP had negatively impacted the state’s economic prospects.
The RBI data, according to Jagan, underscores the robust industrial growth achieved during the YSRCP’s tenure, countering opposition claims and presenting Andhra Pradesh as a leading investment destination in South India.
