YSRCP Launches Statewide Rallies Against Medical College Privatisation

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has organised statewide rallies on November 12 to protest against the alleged privatisation of government medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Party leaders are calling on students, faculty, and local communities to join the demonstrations, highlighting concerns that privatisation could limit affordable access to medical education.

The rallies also serve as a platform for the YSRCP to mobilise grassroots support, strengthen public awareness, and showcase its commitment to protecting educational rights. Officials emphasised that these protests are peaceful yet firm, aiming to pressure authorities into reconsidering policy decisions that may affect the state’s future healthcare workforce.
