Pakistan Probes Violent Brawl After National Games Football Semi-Final

A violent brawl erupted after the National Games football semi-final between Pakistan Army and WAPDA at Karachi’s KPT Sports Complex, injuring multiple players and officials. The clash, triggered by WAPDA players reacting angrily to Army’s celebrations and a disputed penalty decision, escalated on live television as players and officials punched and kicked each other.

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) and the Pakistan Olympic Association have launched separate inquiries into the incident. Video footage circulating online shows WAPDA players chasing and allegedly assaulting the match referee inside his changing room before he was rescued by staff. Authorities confirmed that strict disciplinary action will be taken against those responsible for instigating the violence.
