West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reiterated the Trinamool Congress’s strong stand against communal politics after the suspension of MLA Humayun Kabir over his proposal to build a “Babri Masjid-style” mosque. Addressing a public rally in Murshidabad, she emphasized that the district has a rich legacy of pluralism and unity, and its people will never accept “riot politics.” Without naming Kabir, Mamata stressed that the TMC does not and will never endorse communal agendas, urging citizens to safeguard peace and communal harmony.
