Three Indian Students Injured in Sydney Bondi Beach Attack

Sydney/New Delhi: Three Indian students were among the 40 people injured in the terrorist attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach during the Hanukkah by the Sea festival on Sunday. Two of the students are reportedly hospitalized, though their names and exact conditions have not been disclosed.

The attack, carried out by Naveed Akram (24) and his father Sajid Akram (50), left 15 people dead, including a 10-year-old child. Several others, including five in critical condition and two injured police officers, remain under medical care.

New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said the investigation is expanding as authorities examine the attackers’ international travel history and the discovery of extremist material.

The tragic incident has raised concerns over extremist links and global security, as officials continue to probe the full scope and motivations behind the attack.
